Tatiana Tseu Fox is a Hawaiian cultural practitioner, educator, instructional leader and design specialist with over 19 years of experience in various educational and community settings. Her philosophy of professionalism has been heavily influenced by her upbringing in a hālau hula- a traditional hula school - lead by her mother, a revered cultural advisor in the local community. This philosophy can be best described in a native Hawaiian saying, "Ma ka hana ka ʻike - In doing one learns."
Tatiana began her career in education as a Middle School teacher at an independent school for native Hawaiian students. She has taught Hawaiian Language, Chant and Dance and was the lead teacher of her team. After nine years in the classroom, she was called to be an instructional coach supporting novice through veteran teachers. She has also worked with educators statewide in the planning, designing and implementation of programs and services associated with educational improvement and innovation. Her most current work has been supporting executive leaders in fostering transformative growth and strengthening leadership skills grounded in an indigenous perspective.
Tatiana has earned a B.A. in Hawaiian Studies with a minor in Sociology, an M.Ed. in Curriculum Studies with a focus on Middle Level Education, and a M.Ed. in Educational Foundations with an emphasis on Private School Leadership. She is also a Kumu Hula, a master teacher of hula.
